6 Reasons You Just Can’t Miss the 5th Annual California Jazz & Wine Festival

Got your tickets yet? Well don’t wait much longer. There’s a reason tickets are selling out fast for this year’s spectacular Fifth Annual California Jazz and Wine Festival, being held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village. We’re talking about a fabulous afternoon of jazz from world-renowned artists, an amazing variety of fine wines and spirits and a mind-blowing selection of gourmet foods – oh, and to top it off, it’s all for an incredibly worthy cause. What more could any self-respecting, jazz-loving-wine-drinking-foodie ask for? Need more convincing? Here are six reasons this year’s event is one you just can’t afford to miss!

  1. The Tom Scott Quintet. Need we say more?
If the opportunity to listen to a live performance from this legendary artist isn’t enough to get you to this festival, I don’t know what is. With three Grammy Awards and 14 nominations garnered over a remarkable career spanning over four decades, Tom Scott is quite simply one of the greats – and the Tom Scott Quintet never disappoints.
  2. So much great music, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
This year, the main stage in the ballroom will be the venue for festival headliners, the Tom Scott Quintet, in addition to the fabulous fusion flow of the Adam Clark Trio and the big brass sounds of the Santa Barbara City College Jazz Big Band, led by Tony Ybarra. The incredibly talented guitarist Paul McCallum returns to the festival by popular demand, along with his equally talented and star-studded band of friends.
  3. Amazing lineup of talent on Stage #2 – the Bistro Stage
There’s too much talent for just one stage at this festival! It’s a non-stop talent-fest, with a second “Bistro Stage” located in a festival tent adjacent to the main ballroom. You can saunter over to experience prohibition-era, hot jazz and blues from the fabulous Barrelhouse Wailers and listen to the award-winning Lori Andrews as she bridges traditional and contemporary jazz with her harp. The Bistro Stage is also showcasing the amazing Doug Webb Group and the Westlake High School Jazz Ensemble. This is a seriously cool lineup.
  4. Wine, wine, and more wine.
Obviously, when you go to one of California’s most prestigious jazz and wine festivals, you expect to sample a pretty impressive selection of wines, and you’re definitely not going to be disappointed! Enjoy some of the finest vintage wines from California wineries, including Cornell, Stonehaus, Nabu, Blendz, Opolo, Labyrinth, Four Brix, Squashed Grapes and many more. Cheers!
  5. Fine Foods for Every Palate!
What better way to enjoy your favorite wines than to pair them with samplings of delectable gourmet appetizers? This year’s festival features a wonderful variety of gourmet foods, both savory and sweet, from some of the finest local eateries. Indulge in all your favorites or try something new!
  6. You’ll have a fabulous time and contribute to a really great cause.
While you’re swaying to the sounds of some of the America’s best jazz artists, sipping your favorite wine or aperitif paired with delicious gourmet appetizers, you can reflect happily upon the fact that you’re also contributing to an extremely worthy cause. Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise, in partnership with the event sponsors, this year’s event is benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, helping patients to heal through art and music.

So you see, this year’s California Jazz and Wine Festival really is going to be better than ever before! You can’t afford to miss this one, so get your tickets now!
