Surf Brewery & The Twisted Oak Tavern To Pour

Two Great Local Breweries Will Bring Their Brews

Even if you are not a big fan of a glass of vino, you do not need to pass up on all of the fun at the California Jazz & Wine Fest. To satisfy every palate, there will be beer exhibitors joining the wine exhibitors. Two local standouts will fill out those ranks.

Surf Brewery

Born out of experimentation with a home brewing kit, Surf Brewery is Ventura County’s only packaging microbrewery. With a lineup of local brews named after favorite area surf spots (e.g. Mondo’s Blonde Ale, County Line Rye Pale Ale, Oil Piers Porter Nitro), this award-winning brewery is a must-try spot for locals and tourists alike. Home brewers and surfers join forces to create high-quality beer crafted from the best ingredients on which they can get their hands, normally poured just minutes from great Ventura surf but coming straight to you at the Fest.

The Twisted Oak Tavern

What do you get when you pair a scientific background in yeast fundamentals, water chemistry, and more with a passion for good beer? The Twisted Oak Tavern and its brew master Roger Bott, fondly called Dr. Hops. This tavern’s beer has been recognized for its merit, with its After Midnight Moo Milk Stout taking home the prize for best overall beer at the 2014 California Beer Fest Ventura. You will not want to miss out on the great flavors this Agoura Hills brewery has to offer.
